Format

Each team must consist of at least 10 players on the roster (as long as the full team fee has been paid) with a maximum of 18. The format will be 8-on-8 (at least 6 players are required to be on the field to avoid forfeit). Games will consist of two 20-minute halves with a half-time break of 3 minutes.

Schedule

There will be 8 regular games and at least a single elimination playoff tournament for ALL teams. This means ALL teams will make the playoffs!  Playoff structure will be announced after registration is closed and the schedule is released.

*This schedule may change due to any weather cancellations.  All teams will have at least TWO doubleheaders.

NOTE - In order to best serve our players need and to avoid conflicting MINIMALLY with NFL Sunday games, the schedule will consist of 10:25 am and 11:20 am games along with a few 9:30 am games without breaking the schedule needs and dates for the season. This way you can be done by 12:15 pm or so you will not miss out on the early afternoon NFL games.

DIVISIONS

RASL reserves the right to assign teams into separate divisions if need be for the sake of competitive balance.

ROSTERS

In an effort to stress competitive balance, all rosters must be approved by RASL. We reserve the right to reject any team or player in order to maintain competitive balance.

Registration`

Register a team or as a free agent (see rule below). RASL will place free agents on teams before the start of the season. The sooner you register, the better chance you have of landing on a team. Free agents have the option to request friends to play/group with whom they can play ONLY when initially registering by selecting the small group option. Free agents that are not placed on a team will receive a full refund.

Registration Fees 

Our fees make it very affordable to play. We take care of the permits, referees, equipment, updating scores/standings, and maintaining this web site. We'll also take team and game photos. All you have to do is concentrate on playing and having fun.

Due to the increasing cost of collecting payments from INDIVIDUAL players, RASL will offer early bird discounts for teams that 1) make the FULL TEAM payment through one player (captain or team designated financier who will collect from the individual players but pay the league one lump sump for the team) and/or 2) an ADDITIONAL discount if payment is made by the EARLY bird deadline for the maximum discount (best value).  

For those teams that still choose to have the players pay INDVIDUALLY to the league, they will pay 1) a higher fee and 2) must meet the minimum numbers of paid players to cover team cost before the team is considered complete and allowed to be scheduled for games. However, the INDIVIDUALS can still get a significant discount if they pay by the EARLY BIRD deadline. 

TEAM REGISTRATION with Upfront FULL TEAM LUMP SUM PAYMENT

Captain or select player pays for the entire team in FULL. Cost is $795 for this option. EARLY BIRD: If you pay by Monday August 23rd, we will discount it down to $725!!!

Roster limit is 18 players. NOTE - In order to choose this option, you must first email the league at info@playrasl.com and ask to register as a FULL TEAM LUMP SUM PAYMENT PLAN. The league will then set you up with a TEAM registration where you can invite your teammates without having them pay individually. THIS is the most cost effective method of registration. If you do not email the league first, the DEFAULT team registration is INDIVIDUAL pay team which is much more expensive.

TEAM REGISTRATION with INDIVIDUAL Player PAYMENT

Captain can register a team as individual player payment plan. This is the DEFAULT setting for team registration. You do not need to email the league to setup this type of team. Cost is $65 per player and you must have a MINIMUM of 14 paid players before your team can be scheduled. EARLY BIRD: IF you (as an individual) pay by Monday August 23rd, we will reduce this to $55!

FREE AGENT WOMEN and COUPLES/DUO FALL SPECIAL!!!
Free agents will pay only $60!  EARLY BIRD: IF you (as a free agent) pay by Monday August 23rd, we will reduce this to $50!

PAYMENT DEADLINE

ALL Teams and players must be paid by September 4th to be added to the Season Schedule. If you are not paid by then, RASL reserves the right to fill the team with free agents at our discretion.

Payment can be made directly through the registration process on our website via a credit card or can be made our PayPal or Venmo account after registration. Please email us at info@playrasl.com if you want to pay via PayPal or Venmo.

NOTE - Since reading the waiver is part of the registration process, all players who registered are assumed to have read our waiver and are automatically OPTED IN (so a signature is not necessary as the completion of registration serves as a player's affirmation to full agreement to all terms of our waiver) unless they notify RASL via email that they want to OPT out of the waiver by the registration deadline date or the actual day of their registration (whichever comes later). RASL reserves the right to not allow any one who OPTS OUT of the waiver to participate in our leagues.
